I am an established and experienced self-employed

illustrator & designer freelance designer.

 ‘I use my commercial experience in the footwear, fashion and accessories industry to produce unique new and vibrant styles of work.’

I enjoyed art & design at school and after ‘A’ levels I pursued a career in art and design. I studied at De Montfort University and obtained my Degree BA (Hons) 2:1 in Fashion and Textiles. Later I completed a teaching course at De Montfort University leading to PGCE in Design Technology.

I have 25 years’ experience in the fashion & textile industry. For the first 15 years I worked in the shoe industry including 10 years at The Pentland Group based in London, & then worked freelance for Animated Footwear and Rushton & Ablett. I travelled extensively to Hong Kong, India, Taiwan, Korea, Brazil, Spain and Portugal. I had direct contact with major UK buyers including M&S, Mothercare, Woolworths, Next, Asda, Tesco, Monsoon, Reebok, to discuss new development ranges and designs.

My current business is surface print / patterns designs selling via the internet.

In addition to my own design work, I design for individual customers. I designs for Aceville Publications Ltd: Let’s make Cards, Crafts Beautiful Magazine, printed patterns, artwork logos, cover mounts, card designs children's drawing sheets for Doodle Books published by Buster Books Ltd and Alluminare: wallpaper & fabric designs.

I am currently designing artwork for Craft Creations Ltd , Magmaker Making Cards magazine and Make & Craft Magazine.
